FAQ

What is UPLFFT?

Uplifting, Pro-Love, Family-Friendly Talents? United in Pursuit of Life, Fun, and Fulfilling Times? Sure! And it's a fun name that reflects the spirit of "uplifting people, uplifting the world."

Why the family-friendly focus?

Some talents and organizations share adult content – R-rated comedians, exploring sexuality, etc.. We are meeting the demand for talents and resources suitable for general audiences.

Are you only in the U.S.?

While starting with U.S. talents in target cities, we plan to promote others, too – like Darren Collins, who provides essential educational entertainment in Kenya, Africa, with support from Rotary clubs and members.

Is "uplfft" even a word?

Why not! For some, it means being pro-love and pro-human – that is, celebrating goodwill and our common humanity. These ideals empower peace making and problem solving.

How can we uplfft the world?

"Love and serve" is one answer. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve… You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."

What is the UP Resolution?

The problems in our world are apparent. We aspire to uplift
and be the solution, with goodwill to all, for a bright future.
#BeTheSolution

This resolution was initially much longer, taking into consideration classical philosophy and modern studies. For example:

Liberty, justice, and unity in diversity seemed essential; these reflect “liberty and justice for all” and the U.S. motto e pluribus unum, meaning “out of many, one.”

In the end, UPLFFT chose to share a simple yet powerful resolution based on "goodwill to all" as a foundation and "be the solution" as an aspiration.

This resolution is voluntary, and anyone can sign and share it.
